    An employer must first create an account on the ESIC website. Employers can register by going to the ESIC site and choosing the ‘Sign Up' button under the ‘Employer Login' option on the home screen.

    After submitting the form for portal sign-up, the employer will receive a confirmation email to the registered email address and mobile number provided during sign-up.

    Employer Registration Form-1

    - Next, log in to the ESIC site using the username and password you received in the message. This will take you to a page where you can select ‘Tab - New Employer Registration.'

    - Next, select the 'Type of Unit' from the drop-down list and click the 'Submit' button. The ‘Employer Registration - Form 1' will be mailed to the employer, who will be responsible for filling out the information.

    - The Employer Registration Form-1 provides information on the employer's unit, the employer, and the employees. He only needs to click the ‘Submit' button once, and the employer will fill out the rest of the form.

    Payment for Registration

    After submitting the Employer Registration Form-1, the employer will be directed to the ‘Payment of Advance Contribution' page, where they must enter the amount to be paid and pick the payment mechanism. The employer will be responsible for paying the advance payment for a period of six months.

    Registration Letter

    On successful payment of the six-month advance contribution, the ESIC department will send the employer a system-generated Registration Letter (C-11), which will include a 17-digit Registration Number.
